The HPC (High Performance Cluster) contains 26 2U tray chassis. The tray comes as a 2U sized drawer, which extends out of the rack 36” to expose the entire drawer. The tray can be operated in a hot or cold aisle. The tray is composed of 6 modules, each module comes with 10 card slots (cards sold separately), and (3) Gigabit NICs. All 30 Gigabit NICs are then connected to a shared managed Ethernet switch with 2 SFP+ 10 Gb interconnects and an auxiliary 1 Gb connection providing each tray with 120 Gb throughput.
Each tray module comes with 10 docking stations, each with 1 USB 2.0, 1 Mini-DisplayPort, and 3 Gigabit NICs. All 30 Gigabit NICs are then connected to a shared managed Ethernet switch with 2 SFP+ 10Gb interconnects.
Each tray module also includes a remote power management web GUI, so you can monitor and control the power for each of the 10 that are connected to it.
When completely scaled out, the tray allows for 60 server cards containing 60 to 240 CPU cores, 120 to 480GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 7.68TB of onboard SSD storage.
